Financial Peace University begins on December 6th and will continue on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. We just concluded our first class and saw every household save around $1000 and were able to pay off around $1000 in debt or more in just 9 weeks! Other results included improved communication between spouses, no longer fearing finances but now having a plan and learning things that will help safeguard our families and our finances. Cost is $93 which is small compared to what those attending were able to accomplish as a result!
It's not too late to sign up! Go to: http://www.daveramsey.com/fpu/locations/class/1009751/atid/m_mi

NOVEMBER 1st
Giving Thanks for Religious Freedom
The International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church brings attention to what Christians are facing in other countries. Rounded up, tortured and/or killed if they refuse to denounce Christ, they face a persecution that Americans have difficulty relating to. The numbers of those killed are staggering; one skeptic suggests that the number is only around 20 Christians A DAY, compared to nearly 300+ a day from most estimates. More information is available at: http://www.persecution.com/ with stories from around the world.
Prayers are asked not only for those persecuted, but also for those doing the persecution. “Voice of the Martyrs” is focusing on Suta, who was a Christian preacher in a Hindu village. Raji was a member of an extremist group that targeted Christians. They tell how Raji was convicted by the Holy Spirit and the dedication of Suta and has become a Christian.
“It’s time we appreciate our freedoms and draw inspiration and boldness from Christians in distant places who are showing such a level of commitment, “ says Paul St. Louis, minister at Pine Run. “We have an opportunity to not only worship, but transform lives in our community through meeting needs and showing people a better way to live.”

Giving Thanks for Our Veterans
During the Morning Worship service (10:30 am), we will take time to give thanks to Veterans who have served our country. Veterans are asked to contact the church in advance (if possible), so that their information could be included in the display throughout the auditorium, insert and powerpoint. Every veteran present will receive a flag with the thanks of the congregation.
“Everyone seems to talk about ‘their rights’ and it seems only appropriate that we take time to recognize and thank those that fought to secure and preserve those rights,” says Paul St. Louis, minister. The community is invited to attend to express their appreciation and/or be recognized as a veteran.
To contact the church you can: call (810) 441-4958, or email: pstlouis59@gmail.com with your name, branch of service and time of service; or with any questions you may have.
Those unable to attend, will be able to see the names of those recognized at the church website: pinerunchurch.org when it is updated following that service.
