5K Run/Walk @ Rock Lake 2015
Rock Lake Christian Assembly sponsored a 5K Run/Walk to help raise money for Camp Scholarships. These are provided to young people who would not be able to attend camp without financial assistance. This year their goal was to raise $1500.
We have several youth that could benefit from the scholarship and our goal was to raise $1500 to allow all of them to attend. The church had previously raised $300 around Easter. Paul St. Louis had agreed to participate and trained for the event. He "ran" with his grand niece, Bella St. Louis. Bella had secured donations in excess of $1100. Presently, the commitments that Paul has raised is $520 with up to an additional $1200 pledged by the church leadership to guarantee the financial ability of all the youth to attend.
The camp exceeded their goal during the course of the weekend with over $5000 being raised!
