Clio Area Schools:
Strategic Planning Committee:
Wednesday, October 5th @ 2:30; follow up committee for Student Achievement will be meeting. Keep this in prayer that we will be able to pursue the excellence that God calls for us in life. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are key emphasis in society as much of the 21st century jobs are focusing in these areas. We need to encourage: History, Social Studies and English skills (including cursive writing) so that students will be able to more intelligently evaluate situations, understand where other people are coming from and be able to express themselves effectively. Cursive writing will also enable them to read old records and documents; allowing them greater access to information.
Saturday, March, 5, was spent with administrators, school Board Members, teachers, district employees, parents, community leaders (mayor pro-temp) and others in reviewing a laying out the Vision, Mission, Beliefs and Goals for the school district for the next 3-5 years. These will be presented to the School Board for their approval. Following that, actions plans and strategies are to be developed with monthly follow up in each of the goal areas.
VISION: (Where we want to be in 5 years): Leaders in Educational Excellence
MISSION: (What we do): Building a Solid Foundation for Success
Be watching for more updates and progress as the schools go from teaching, to becoming LEADERS IN EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE!
