Teen Training!
OVERVIEW
"Young people are often told that 'when they get older they can do something. They are anxious to do things that matter now, and we are going to help them fulfill that desire." They will be challenged to be a vital part of their homes, neighborhoods, school and community every day. They will be equipped and provided opportunities to help shut-ins, take care of their community, possibly help at a Habitat for Humanity build site, work with younger youth, take responsibility at church and more!
Training will use the Bible, lesson material, powerpoint presentations, drama and hands on work. Their studies will include: science, history, geography, Bible, morals, learning about shut-ins, recognizing needs, developing problem solving skills and more. They will be able to make new friends, develop those friendships, learn how to be a good friend and develop other vital social skills. They will be encouraged to continue developing their personal relationship with Christ through prayer, daily Bible reading and worship. They will be guided by adults throughout their training as leadership skills are developed and honed.
Youth are welcome to join at any time. They are encouraged to bring their friends. The training is provided at no charge by the church!
