Lowell Mason-- Missions1992 Lowell Mason was able to travel to Russia where he was able to meet a 3 Star General of the Russian Army. The General requested Bibles for his troops. From 1917 when the Communists took over until 1991, churches had been closed, Bibles taken and it was illegal to attend church or own a Bible. Things had changed and the general was requesting 2 million Bibles for the military. Lowell worked with Revival Fires and AIM to send over 4 million (2 million for the military and 2 million for civilians) in Kaluga (SW Russia).
Lowell and Judy helped orphans in Russia with needed supplies and visits. He was named, "Man of the Year" in the city or Orell, Russia because of his charitable contributions to orphans in that city. Lowell and Judy would make one to two trips to Russia each year |
