Jesus Redeems

."And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice He gave up His Spirit.  At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.  The earth shook and the rocks split.  The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.  They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
    When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, 'Surely He was the Son of God!' "   -- Matthew. 27:50-54

God's love allowed His Son, to die for us and be raised victorious on the third day, giving victory and hope to all who believe in Him.

Our "Scarecrow for God" reminds us that after Jesus entered Jerusalem on "Palm Sunday", Died on the cross, rose from the grave, appeared many times over 40 days, that He ascended to Heaven (witnessed by His disciples) to go and prepare a place for us.

Praise Him-- for His grace

"But because of His great love for us, God who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-- it is by grace you have been saved."

Thank Him-- for our Redeemer

"But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.  This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.  There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
