Jericho

   As the Israelite enter the promised land, we see how God led them to prepare to take the land.  The process and strategies; can provide principles that we can follow in our lives..

Mt. Ebal & Mr. Gerizim

     Time for Israel to refocus on how God brought them to this point and how they are to live.  A renewal of the covenant follows Joshua being reminded of God's laws.

Ai

This was the first defeat in the Promised Land  Discover what caused it and how did they recover.  Find what lessons you can learn when you have set backs in your life.

Gibeonites

     Discover what happens when leaders are faced with inaccurate information and rely on their best judgment.  Are we bound to commitments after we have been lied to?
   How should you respond when someone who lied to you, now needs your help?   What would God think?
God enables Israel to take the remainder of the land; including one major battle against the united kings of the North; whose massive army is destroyed in one day!
God leads Joshua to distribute the land by lot, starting with Judah, Ephraim and Manasseh and then spreading the rest among them.
The 2 1/2 tribes east of the Jordan build a memorial so that all will remember that they are part of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Covenant Renewal

Success by Judah
Joshua's last work with Israel was to remind them to be faithful and have them renew their commitment to serve God.
